Slam Jam Introductory Resource

• The original Slam Jam resource. Within these lesson plans there are 12 lesson plans for you to use how you see fit, each lesson plan has 3 activities (A cards, B cards and C cards), these cards are revolved around skill development and teaching students the basic foundations of the game.
  • The A cards are focused Movement Development where participants focus on skill development and building their physical literacy skills.
  • The B cards are focused on Game Introduction and focus on introducing participants to game-based situations where they are encouraged to make decisions and solve problems.
  • The C cards are focused on Game Development, where participants partake in small-sided games with constraints as they build their understanding and appreciation for the sport

Slam Jam Play Teaching Resource

• Our newly developed Slam Jam Play resource has been developed to support teachers in delivering Slam Jam, the resource aims to use basketball as the vehicle to develop students fundamental and perceptual movement skills.
• Within each activity we will provide suggested progressions and regressions so you can modify each activity to find the right challenge point for each student.
• Throughout the resource, we use the CHANGE IT model to support you in modifying basketball and provide a positive experience for your students.
